NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, so students, parents, and staff can attend the game. Go Trojans!
The girls will play their first state tournament game onat the Devaney Center in Lincoln. We have many students, staff, and parents at all grade levels in the district who will want to attend the tournament. Therefore, there will be no school district-wide because of this. This includes Springfield and Westmont Elementary, Platteview Central Junior High, and Platteview High School.
Now comes the tricky part. If the girls win, they will play at . We will NOT have school either if the girls win . We will inform all district parents after the game of the outcome. If the girls happen to lose , we will have school on Friday, March 7 as normal.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause some of our families in the district. We hope to see all of you down in Lincoln to support our girls basketball team. Go Trojans!
All other projects will remain as they were previously designed. This amount is a cut of $10.4 million dollars from the previous bond election of $35.7 million (almost a 30% decrease). This would amount to a tax levy increase of an estimated 16.5 cents (decreases from 24.5 cents) when reveiwed on a 20-year bond plan. The Board of Education will consider the recommendation at their Board work session on February 24 at 7 PM at the district office.
